Meets Budget and Quality.
Outside of staying within the budget what makes a logo design great? We balance some key concepts to make logo designs work best for our clientele.
Being Unique: Why avoid the obvious clichés in logo design? Think about it, you're a pet groomer so you use a "hairy dog" as your logo design. While that may communicate an aspect of what you do it doesn't work well to separate you from the pack or create any unique recognition. The best logo designs are memorable in how they uniquely identify the organization they represent.
Portability: The best logo designs will work small or large, in website and in print, in cut vinyl for signs or when reproduced in small sizes for your business card. The same design should work on all these media.
Readability: If you have a huge marketing budget you might be able to assure people are familiar with a unique icon but most logo designs feature a company name and many also document the organizations products or services. This shoud be readable at an appropriate distance, the right typeface and implemntation are critical here.
Now that you know the most important criterion we use to judge and define your logo design you should know that the real art is balancing these often polarized concepts to make something uniquely readable and portable that will add value to every piece of printed or web based communication where your name appears.
